Could Alabama get some snow this weekend? It looks like Alabama may get some snowfall this weekend but it isn’t  supposed to lay. It may graze some trees or make for slippery driving! Keep your eye on the fresh Alabama snow! Let the snowfall on beautiful Alabama and get ready to ski!
 
Well it looks like the snow is thinning out and the temp just never made it low enough. It is reported that higher elevations will receive a blanket maybe up to 2 inches in the very northeast peak of sand mountain and over to skyline mountain.
 
Skyline tends to get a good bit of Alabama snow each year! The temps are gonna be low and maybe even cold enough to for Cloudmont Ski to fire up the snow blowers and make some fresh pack! So get your skis ready and cross your fingers and lets hit the slope!

When it is cold is enough  late at night they will blow 6-10 inches of Alabama snow! Trust me it gets very cold up there! Cloudmont has 2 one-thousand foot, beginner-intermediate slopes! With a vertical rise of 150 feet and two “pony lifts” take skiers to the top slopes that have an elevation of 1,800 feet. Cloudmont has a base elevation of 1,650 ft and a 10 acre skiable area! The area receives an annual snow fall of 12 inches and is located in one of the most beautiful areas in the world.

For the Alabama snow to be made it has to be 28 degrees and usually blow late at night at the coldest time! The snow will hold through the warmer days with snow grooming gear! Cloudmont ski resort is open daily during the season weather permitting of course! It is open from 9.a.m. till 4p.m and from 6p.m. till 10p.m.

Cloudmont welcome beginners and experienced skiers! It is the perfect course to learn how to ski and they offer some great expert Guidance! Plus all the people there are awesome and very helpful! They have boots from a child’s size 10 to and adult 13. They recommend that you get there early to get your boots because they don’t reserve them.
